Award winning multidisciplinary visual artist B.1986 in Cairo. She holds a bachelor's degree in painting from Fine Arts, Cairo, 2009 and attended scholarships at the International Salzburg Fine arts Academy and Traunkirchen Art Academy in Austria in 2006, 2008 and 2009, for filmmaking at Cairo Jesuite, 2007. She won a prize in Cairo Youth Saloon 2007 and First Prize in painting at Young Artist Saloon, 2015. Osama has participated in 60 exhibitions including exhibitions at Made in., Art Gallery, Italy, 2016, Gmundten 422 in Austria, 2008, Printemps du Nil exhibition in Paris, 2011, Port Said Biennale, 2009, Cairo Youth Saloon 14, 18,21,25,26 and 27 as well as solo-shows at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo, Cairo Atelier, Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, Art Corner Gallery 2010-2019. Lina Osama is a figurative painter who tries to involve the viewer in a dialogue between two or more persona in her paintings whose body language, color palette and semi-abstract backgrounds give hints at the nature and content of the interaction, using mixed media to reflect the complexity of human psyche. Founder and curator of Living Units International art initiative touring exhibitions at Geothe Institut, Nile Art and Gezira Art Center in Cairo, The Egyptian Cultural Office in Vienna and Go Arts in Bucharest 2016-2017. She studied Egyptology at the Higher Authority of Antiquities, 2009-2010.
