Shaker Bahi El Din El Madawy (1944-2011) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Alexandria University, 1967 and holds a higher Diploma in the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome - Equivalent for the Egyptian Doctorate in Painting - Italy 1978. He was assigned to teach photography at the Faculty of Specific Education, 1995. He was assigned to teach manual and artistic skills and to have a taste for plastic arts for the Childhood Division, 1997. In 1998, he was appointed as a teacher of painting and drawing at the Faculty of Specific Education in Kafr El-Sheikh. Throughout the year, El Madawy was a part of many group exhibitions in different countries such as; Lebanon, Algeria, Romania, Italy and Saudi Arabia. He was granted the second prize in the exhibition of young foreign artists studying in Italy - Rome 1976 and a Prize (painting) in the International Exhibition of Fine Arts in Palgra, Italy, 1978. Some of his local awards include, The gold medal in the Young Artists Exhibition in Alexandria, 1969. Prize for drawing, painting in the thirteenth general exhibition of fine arts 1983. First prize in the National Exhibition of Eid Al-Arish 1983. First prize in the competition from the inspiration of the Egyptian nature, 1986. First prize for the best children's book cover from the National Center for Child Culture 1989. His artwork is acquired by art collectors in Egypt, Italy, France, England, America, Spain, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Austria. As for the official collectibles; he has artwork at The Museum of Egyptian Modern Art, Cairo, Alexandria, and General administration for sabbatical.
